Rally To Stop Coal Plants Draws Over 100 Folks
And Media

Go Here for a complete rundown of Coal vs Wind/Energy Conservation.

Over 100 folks showed up on a cold Saturday morning, December 2nd, to protest the proposed Holcomb Coal Plant. Good press coverage helped spread the word about why Kansas should be focusing on its huge Wind resources rather than the proposed coal plants with their baggage of mercury and green house gases. After the rally, the protesters took a march around the Capitol Building.

A big thank you to the organizers ( Jennifer Byers, Kim Hanson, Susan Brown, and others ) and their groups who got out the troops (see speakers below). And thanks to all the folks who participated with their energy and signs..
